What Kind of Makeup to Use for Pop Art

To kick off our series, artist Kelly Tull creates her version of the classic comic volume pop art character.

Before getting started: apply a full-coverage foundation and fix in place!

Apply a full coverage foundation to your face before you get started, and make sure to fix it in place with a high-performance setting pulverization. Kelly used Ben Nye Pretty Pink Translucent Face up Pulverization.

For all subsequent steps, Kelly primarily uses one Mehron palette to complete the look, along with a Ben Nye eyeshadow palette to create color on the eye.

Pace 1: Outline the height of forehead, embrace brows & ascertain bridge of nose.

Using a black face pigment, create an outline across the meridian of your brow. Adjacent, embrace & shape your eyebrows with that same black paint. So create a defining line down the bridge of your nose.

Step 2: Add colour to eye lids.

Kelly applies Ben Nye Eye Shadow in shade Green Leafage to the lid, then goes on acme of that color with Ben Nye Eye Shadow in shade Caribbean. Use whatsoever colour combination you prefer to make the await your own. Vibrant greens or blues are a nice contrast to the reds, blacks and yellows you lot'll be using in the adjacent steps.

Kelly uses a combination of pink colors in the Mehron Paradise Palette to make full in her lips. If you lot don't have the palette on hand, any pink or cherry-red lipstick you accept will work. One time y'all've applied a thick coat of color to your lips, take the black paint over again and line the outside of your rima oris.

Take what's left on your brush and fill in the inner portion of your lips. When closed, each lip should look completely outlined from inside out.

To complete your lips, utilize highlighting to the upper and lesser lip using white paint.

Step six: Add together black lines on collar bones, down neck and from lesser of ear downwardly shoulders and arms.

If you're planning to extend this wait beyond your confront, apply the black paint yous've been using throughout this tutorial and create thick lines across your collar bone, down the neck, and from the lesser of your ear all the fashion down your shoulders and artillery.

Stride 10: Add whatever additional detailing to complete the look.

Once you've completed all previous steps, take a thin detailing brush and add thin black lines anywhere you lot need some extra, over-exaggerated definition. You could define laugh lines or dimples, for instance. Play around with color and apply more dots or colour definition effectually the confront.
